I am a week away from my surgery and have had a month or more to quit smoking. I can deal with eating a fist full of food, and changing my life. But, every day got closer, and I was still smoking. I was smoking a pack and a half before, and now I am down to 5-10 a day. Although any bit of smoking is bad, will I still be okay? Of course, the doctor said it increases the risks by 10, but. It's only a week away, am I too late to fully quit? Am I at risk?
