Q: Bad Bowels??

I’m 19, a vegetarian (tho I do eat dairy and eggs) and have, in my opinion, a fairly healthy diet. I probably don’t eat enough iron but I supplement with vitamins.
My real question is, why, when I eat well, do I never seem to have what is considered as ‘healthy faeces’. I almost always check, to make sure there isn’t anything wrong with my waste. It’s often soft, broken into small pieces, sometimes even runny. There’s occasions where I have to really push, though I try not to for health purposes and then there’s barely anything in the bowl, or it’s thin and small...

I rarely miss breakfast, and definitely have enough fibre. Could it be something like irritable bowel syndrome? I don’t really know the symptoms… it’s probably about time I saw the doctor for a general health check-up, but if anyone has any suggestions, and hopefully nothing that really costs money, cause i’m quite poor atm.

Thanks to anyone who has any ideas.

I Feel the Same
Hi! It's been a while since you posted your topic, but I am feeling the same way as you! I am also a vegetarian and have the exact same issue. It really isn't fun, very painful. I am also wondering if it is irritable bowel, and hjave been for a while. It's nice to know there is someone else out there who can relate, though I don't wish this on you lol.

same here- but i eat meat :)
Hi i have the same but i am not a vegetarian, i eat a lot of chicken and have a good diet with lots of fruit and things. it must be a bowel condition of some sort because i sometimes get pains on my left side and bad wind- which is rather embarressin! i also had problems with my stomach for a few months earlier this year, so i dont know if its related, best to get checked up though- can never be too careful when it comes to your digestion system!

it could be related to mineral balance. I have this & have studied mineral balance & nutritional balance. a good place to learn of this is ithyroid.com . I suggest you are lacking in calcium in your diet but before you start using supliments study it because balance is crucial. Also anyvitamin zest for life will show you what foods to find different minerals & vitamins & what they will & won't do for you. If you want any further help you can send a message by clicking my behind the 8 ball picture & send a message, i am happy to be able to help you.
God Bless!
