Are you gestational diabetic? That is
the only reason I know of to worry for too
large baby. They just might want to do
c/section if he's too big. Dont know
sorry

Thay are probably chjecking for extra
fluid around the baby- just because
there's been such a quick increase in
measurement- they might not find anything
though- in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy,
the baby gains some ridiculous amount of
weight, like a pound a day or something
crazy. That's probably what's happening-
it may be that you will have a biggish
baby- especially if you or the father are
quite tall.
They will do ultrasounds at the drop of a
het at the end of the pregnancy, usually
because, buy that stage, if anything
strange is going on, it's late enough to
induce labour or whatever, with little ill
effect to the baby.
I measured a little big in the later part
of my first pregnancy- i'm 29 weeks into
my second, and have started measuring big
again. I'm 5 foot 8, my husband is 6'3.
Our first daughter ended up beingborn
(spotaniously) at 36.5 weeks- she weighed
6.8 pounds. She was well on her way to
being a whopper- but I had no problems,
and no stitches or anything, so don't
freak out.
Do be prepared to go early though- it
won't hurt to have your hospital bag
packed and baby seat installed in the car
anytime around nowish !!!
Good luck !!

I always measured big during my preg. At
36 weeks I was also measuring 40. I had
my son 4 days before my due date and he
was 8lbs,6oz .A.N.D. They fionally
found out I had 2 amniotic sacs (???) so
there was extra fluid and my son was kind
of big.

My mother had gestational diabetes and
that made all her babies smaller. I on
the other had was the only (first child)
one that she didn't have it with and came
out 8 lbs 6 oz 2 and a half weeks early.
Some women measure larger than others, I
wouldn't worry about it. My mom's second
child was only a little over 7 lbs but she
was a pretty big woman for awhile haha. I
wouldn't worry about it, if the
ultrasounds are coming back normal. Who
knows, you might have a big whoppin baby,
but the ultrasounds will probably find
that nowadays so if it's too big to have
naturally they can just go for a csection
at the start. Good luck!
