I have never been on any type of birth control and I was just wondering if the patch really worked since I dont wanna get pregnant so soon.. I cant swallow pills and im terrified of shots so I thought the patch might work but I havent tried it yet so I was just wondering if it really worked before I went to the doctor.... Ashley

I have been on the patch for close to three years and it works great. I am also very bad about taking pills everyday and depo was horrible for me. The patch is very easy to use and it's 99% effective.

I think it kind of depends on how much you weight. If your over weight it will not work as well. Just be careful because I have heard of a lot of women getting pregnant on the patch. But my best friend was on it and loved it. I think it depends on the person. I tried to have it on but knowing there was a sticker on my butt bugged the hell outta me. Good luck.
