Q: Swollen Finger

About 3 days ago one of my finger on my left hand became swollen and painfull, it turned blue and purple and then white and I lost feeling in it briefly. It went away and then again the next day came back only worse this time. I went to emergency only to wait 6 hours without seeing a doctor. I decided to go home. Should I be concerned with this condition and what possibly could be the cause for this?

Bad Blood Circulation
Im no doctor but I would certainly think that there is poor blood circulation in the finger. Turning blue and purple indicates high pressure of blood causing sensitive nerves and then turning white indicates low blood pressure of blood causing low sensitivity. It is something you should check if you want to save your finger, either you are trapping the blood from flowing by wearing a ring or such, or the blood vessel is being clogged.
