If any of these women who say they felt preg after hysterectmy are still viewing forums please let me know what happened.

I am 7 weeks pregnant, and my uterus was removed 19 years ago. God gave me a promise 18 years ago he spoke to me and said "a miracle baby". I have always believed I would carry this baby. A few years after removal of uterus, I went in to have ovaries removed and had a severe reaction to meds, which I never had be4 or never have had since, that prevented the removal of my ovaries.

I have heard of numerous accounts where baby is born by c/section from the abdomen. I even met pple in person who knew a lady nurse in bakersfield cal, who delivered baby boy after hysterectomy, they thought it was a tumor.

In june(exactly 18 years to the month that he spoke to me before) I was awakened with "a mirale baby" running thru my spirit again. In july me and husband almost broke up for good. On july 8 I started ovulating, (i know cuz I get middle pains), me and husband got back together on the 9th. Made love everyday and multiple times a day until the 19th of july.

On the 10th I awoke with a burning sensation in my abdomen, and felt like the semen had not came out of me from the night be4. Seems in the 16 to 18 times we made love the semen only came out 2 times. Within a couple of days I started noticing, sleepyness, hard sleeping, breast stabbing pains, tenderness in breasts, nausea, light-headedness, severe stabs in ovaries, continued cramp like feelings in ovaries, and in back right over where ovaries reside, leg cramps, swelling in privates, pains in privates, overal stomach pains, a glow in my face, I look younger(after all im 43 this year will be 44 in dec), terrible gas, a few times almost passed out, food taste funny, old tastes not the same, dont like salt lately, dont like really sweet lately, thirst that could kill someone, no new tastes but old tastes just not the same. Ppizza never sounds good, never tastes good, heavy foods dont go down well, lighter foods and vegetables are good. I also got horrible headache for first couple weeks. That was 5 weeks ago.

I know I am pregnant but I want to hear from these others or anyone who has experienced this or something like this(ectopic or heterotopic pregnancy), or even knows someone who has. Any info is welcome.

Thanks

I have nver heard of anyone getting prego after a hysterectmy...But I do believe in miracles!! I wish you the best of luck! And ask for yours...My fiance and I have been ttc for almost 8 mths now and have had no luck. I know i'm fertile cuz I already have kids...I'm worried that he might be the problem...Any suggestions on "how" to do it? Is it true that I should put my legs in the air after we have sex? Again good luck!!

I wish you all the luck--
i dont know about all that legs in the air stuff--but I did hear stay flat on your back for like 10 min or something like that. There are self help infertility sites all over the internet. They have a lot of those kind of suggestions to make it easier to conceive. Do you know whe you ovulate?

On a 28 day cycle approx 14 days after period (14 days be4 mext period) is the most likely times to get preg. A few days be4 14 days and a few days after make love to him every night, light candles sip a little wine make it romantic and it may help. Or just tell him to drop his pants and get his as* in the bed---lol

good luck to you for speedy pregnancy

Still Cant Pass Urine Or Blood Test--10.2 Weeks
I cant even pass the blood hcg, but I am preg in my abdomen.

I have not uterus. I went in for a u/s too, and the baby should have been like 1/4 of an inch and they did not find him in the u/s either. But it is too late to tell me im not pregnant. First of all I know I am for I have all the symptoms and by now I can feel him, cuz no uterus in between us, and he is surfacing by my belly button and I can feel him. Last night I felt him push off like a swimmer going on next lap. It was so cute. He is about 1 1/2 inches and I have physically felt him moving for about 2 weeks. First time it was just like a gurgleing in the bag, but I felt it none the less.

I think I cant pass the test cuz I have no endometrium for the baby to implant and for endometrium too send the signal to my brain to trigger preduction of hcg. I do know I have plenty of progestrone in production. That is where all the symptoms come from. Asked him to run the progestrone test, needs to do the a-fetoprotein test too. They show with abdominal pregnancy. Most of them I have heard of without uterus they never know they are preg, they think its a tumor or something. Until they go into explore.

Symptoms
In the past month I have been having symptoms of being pregnant but I am terrified; I am 45 yrs old and had only my uterus removed about 14 yrs ago, I have been married for 10 years and have not had any symptoms of pregnancy why now? I am afraid to go to the doctor in fear that he might think I am crazy but here are my symptoms:
stomache enlarging even though I work out
breast a little tender
certain smells I experience nausea
nasty taste in my mouth
i crave corn, potato chips, recess peanut butter cups, and oatmeal (i hate all these things)
i also cry for no reason
have headaches
and have to take a nap ( thought that was age related)
just thought I might just have a hormone imbalance or coming down with something.
I am diabetic and when I take my medication lately my blood sugar drops too low. I haven't told my husband but he has asked me if I am pregnant and I said "no" cause I thought after a hysterectomy that was it for children, now I am seeing there are twelve cases and I am terrifed because I am 45 yrs old. My sister is the one that suggested I might be pregnant, however I do believe in mircles but not me being one to be involved with this kind of mircle.
I had simular symptoms with both my sons which by the way are 24 and 21yrs old, I always wanted a daughter but gave up on ever having one after the hysterectomy, I was waiting to become a grandmother. Is it really possible, where can I find information on hysterectomy and pregnancy Crying or Very sad

Miracle Pregnancy Maybe?
A woman walked up to me Easter Sunday 2009 and out the clear blue asked me "Are you a Mom?" I replied, "No". She then said "You don't have any children? I replied, "what makes you ask me that?" She said, "You should have children because there's something about you and I can tell you would be a great loving mother. You should be a mom." My heart was very touched and told her thank so much for the kind words. The next day [Mon] I was perplexed by that odd Easter encounter. So I went out and bought a pregnancy test. I waited til Tues morning to get the first urine of the day for accuracy. To my surprise my PT was positive!! I immediately made a gyno appt to truly confirm the results. I will know for certain in a 3 days. All my life I have had irregular periods so I have no idea of how far long I could be. The most astounding part of this experience for me is the "prophecy" from a unknown woman who I believe was an angel. I'm over 40yo!!! If I am pregnant and give birth to a healthy baby, then I know that this baby is a miracle and the stranger was an angel.

FATFAMILY IS A NICE WOMAN WHO IS DELUSIONAL. SHE HAS BEEN ON HERE FOR YEARS. IN 2005 WHEN I WAS ON HERE ALOT AFTER A TRAMATIC MISCARIAGE SHE WAS "PREGANANT WITH TWINS" IN HER ABDOMEN THEN...I THINK IT IS SAD THAT SHE IS DELUSIONAL, BUT IF SHE IS HAPPY THEN GREAT. SHE IS A SWEET WOMAN FROM WHAT I CAN TELL WHO LOVES TO HELP OTHERS...

Delusional Yikes! That was a pretty powerful posting. Well I just wish her and everyone in this forum the best.

On a lighter note. I had my first ultrasound today. I am 7weeks confirmed today but it will be reconfirmed in 2 weeks. The most exciting part of it all was that I heard the heartbeat! I was not expecting that today at all. Wow! Looks like this old gal just may be a Mom afterall. I will keep you posted and you keep me in your prayers. I was told if I can make it safely through this 1st trimester then I am out of the danger zone....sort of.

I think delusional is the wrong word she just wont give up hope.I just cannot imagine losing my womb before i'd had the chance to be a parent it must be terrible to know your chance for children has gone,i think i would probably be exactly the same in her shoes.I have nothing but sypathy for this lady and hope she can come to terms with it soon. congrats to tummymommy i am 10 weeks pregnant and i too just need to get past 1st trimester i had 2 miscarriages in the last 9 months so im praying for this one to be fine

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to you too. You are further along than I am. My prayers are going up on your behalf. Lets not think anything other than healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. No entertaining negative thoughts. Call me delusional too but do believe in self-fulfilling prophecy. I know for a fact the more you harbor thoughts of doom and negativity it somehow becomes reality. To this end, I believe this pregnancy will be fine for you if its meant to be. Moreover like you, I am not judging FatFamily. I wish her the best. Miracles do happen! Look a me...I'm unexpectedly pregnant at 45. lol

I have opted to have that CVS testing. I'm a little spooked by the process after reading about it online but I am more spooked not having it done. Have you ever had one of these done before? So far I feel fine. No nausea or cramping, just fatigue and bloating. This is my first real pregnancy so I am really grateful for this site. I had a miscarriage 4 years ago. The baby never formed only the sac. So I had a DC right away. But this time we actually heard the baby's heartbeat. It was breathtaking. I am still in awe. And the ultrasound pic is priceless. This is why I feel I must do the CVS Test. I want to make sure he/she is okay.

Hello tummymommy
No i havent ever had this test as i have no genetic problems in my familly.Im guessing you do and thats why you need the test im sure everything will be fine though.i do have a turn in my eye which my son did inherit slightly but that is just cosmetic.I saw my baby yesterday at 10 weeks 2 days it waved at us it was great so now im full of hope that this time we are going to go all the way but im still a bit nervous as i had a missed miscarriage last year at 10 weeks 3 days and i was acctually supposed to be 10 weeks 3 days yesterday as at my last scan i was 8w 3d but the baby only measured 10w 2d but they didnt seem worried about it.Good luck with the test ive read up on it and its understandable your worried but your right its better to know either way

He waved 2 u??!!
That is awesome. You saw the baby wave, Wow! And to think we freaked out when we heard the heartbeat. This whole experience is unlike any other. I am still amazed that I have a life growing inside me. Right now I admit I am anxious about this upcoming CVS test. I just want to hear the news that everything is alright. No we don't have any known genetic issues on either side. However, because we are both over 40 and I did have a miscarriage 4 years ago, my doctor strongly recommended testing via CVS or amnio. I opted for CVS because it can be done sooner and is just as accurate. I read told we can also learn of the baby's sex from this test too.I will know next Wed when my test is scheduled. I also read it takes about 7 to 10 days to get results back. I have no doubt that your pregnancy is going to be perfect. Keep me posted. I love your messages. I am now 8 weeks. Fatigue, bloating and peeing are my only physical dramas for now.
