Throat.
Posted: 08-12-05 23:31pm

For about a week now i've had this canker sore on the upper part of my mouth, and it is showing no signs of going away. Also, mainly just the right gland on my neck has been swollen. I haven't felt sick for a while now and I was just wonderin if anyone had any thoughts on my problem. And, is it possible to contract an std of the throat from kissing? Thanks.

I believe you have hurt yourself there somehow and it probably got infected. Your " right gland" on your neck being swollen is your right tonsil which became such because of the infection as tonsils are a true germ barrier. Your swelling should reduce once your infection is gone. And for the infection to be gone you need to be on antibiotics. Have a germ identification done and then an antibiogram...It will tell you what antibiotics to take to get rid of your problem. Also talk to a doctor.

Good luck!

You said "for about a week now i've had this canker sore on the upper part of my mouth"...I thought you referred to the palatine surface and I thought you might have hurt yourself when eating, like when eating toast or something hard and then it got infected...

If I didn't understand correctly, please explain what you meant to say by "canker sore on the upper part of my mouth".
