Irrgeular bleeding does occur with this form of birth control. I had a friend that once had green discharge from her nipple so needed to discontinue. If you are still very concerned check with your doctor

Irregular bleeding is a common symptom with depo. I for one, was on it for 3 years and didnt bleed once, not even for my periods. My sister on the other hand, was on it for a year and bled the whole time... Every person reacts to it differently. I took myself off of depo because I was battling with some of its side-effects... Severe depression and slim to none sex-drive.

I also did not bleed for 2 years. But the side effects can be a killer....I also had the depression and no sex-drive. The no period part was great but not worth suffering elsewhere.

Every body's reaction is different. It is not unnormal to suffer from a period or occasional spotting. Since the depo shot injects you with a hormone which tricks your body into thinking it pregnant it is also extremely common not to have a period at all. I was exactly like the other ladies who did not bleed for a number of years. I seemed to suffer from manic depression. Unlike the pill the depo shot consists of only 1 hormone which effects everone's mental health & physical chemistry differently.

I continued taking it for the soul reason of the absence of blood. Other than that there is nothing positive about it. Everyone I have ever spoken to regrets that shot. & when you finally decide to get off of it, that is an episode in itself. I dont want to scare or worry you, but since you havent been on it for too long your body has not gotten so accustomed to it. Withdrawl shouldnt be so bad for you. Try the patch; you change it weekly, but it's side effects are minimal.

Depo
I have been on the shot for the past 2 years and am not taking my next shot because I would like to try for another little one. My son is now 2 years old. When i first started the shot i had a slight clear/brownish tint discharge (just enough to use a panty liner) that my dr said was completely normal and should stop right around 6 months of use. ..Which is did. almost 6 months on the dot, everything disappeared. It was great. No period ever. Hang in there. I would just wait until at least 6 months and if you are still having the issue after that check with your Dr.

Good Luck!
