Hi; does anyone out there have this disease? I was diagnosed in 1992 I had a muscle biopsy done in tronto by Dr. B. Britt who is now retired...Alot of people don't realize that you can get terrible symptons and become very ill. This is a very rare medical condition, so there is not much support out there. Love to hear from you.

Yes
It runs in my family and I met a guy ( past good friend) who used to have it. I take it you have a card with you incase of emergency. It's very rare, and not often does anything bad happen, but beware general anesthtic etc, as this is not good for a sufferer as it's allergy based.

Not many nurses know about this but doctors are well informed. Talk to them about it, as you say it's very rare, so they deal with this disease text book style. It is life threatening, but we are all okay, my bro's and sisters also and we have had general.

No there isn't much support out there, I agree. Speak to the doctor and ask about councelling to help you feel better in yourself.

Take care, and good luck sweetheart!

Hello; thank you for your quick reply..I suppose you have figured out that i'm also the one asking about bowel problems. I will be taking steps to try and relax more and I will be talking to my doctor about some counselling to help me deal with my illness. Thanks...My grandmother died of mh...But of course no one knew at that time. Her organs all swelled and grew into one another, so my question is "this might be my bowel problem?" my sister also had mh but passed on 11 years ago. Take care and thanks again.
