Q: ***constant Urination***

Just wondering if someone here had some insights or observations.

I am a 54 year old man in excellent physical shape. I have always been a frequent bathroom goer, but in the past month I am going non-stop. It is as if as soon as I finish urination, I have to go again. This is even more onerous at night. I went to see my urologist this past week and he took the usual tests, felt the prostate, but could not see anything. I have been on uroxotral for the past month and the doc thought that perhaps I might have an infection. He gave me cipro--500 mg--2 x day to take. That was three days ago and I am still urinating like hell. I'm going on vacation tomorrow and at this point I feel like cancelling the whole thing. Very frustrating!

any insights, let me know.

Best,

barnett

Medullary Sponge Kidney
I now learn why I have hemauria and urinary frequency/urgency. My intravenous pyelogram (ivp) radiography shows I have medullary sponge kidney.

Ureaplasma Urealyticum
I have to pee all the time too. Seriously I will go and then a minute later I have to go again. If I never pee again it will be too soon.

The infection I have is called ureaplasma urealyticum. Maybe it is something to look into? Apparently a lot of docs never even bother testing for this type of bladder infection.

Get well soon. Take care.

Please look into IC (Interstitial cystitis).
This causes the urgency to pee a lot and painful intercourse also.

There are doctor who don't believe in this condition but it is very real.
