Q: High Blood Sugar

Hi, i've had a problem with an high glucose. If I drink a regular pop and have too much candy I get all the symptoms for hypoglycemia such as dizziness, near fainting, hunger, blurred vision, fatigue etc.. This does not make sense to me being as hypoglycemia is a form of low blood sugar. Is it possible I have some kind of allergy to sugar or is there something else wrong with me? Confused I can't figure this one out so I would appreciate your comments if you think you may have an idea. Thx! Smile

O. K, I can respond to this one. I have the same thing as you do. Some doctor's say if you are hypoglycemic(probably spelled wrong) you should eat some form of sugar when you get the shakes. But my doctor told me that when I get the shakes and start to get dizzy that I should eat protein or carbs that turn into sugar when digested. This works for me. I cannot eat candy or anything with a high amount of sugar in it because it makes me feel high. And then, when it starts to wear off, I get really tired and sick. It affects everyone differently, but that is how it affects me.

Thankyou saturn24! I'm going to see a doctor to get my sugar tested but I will try what you do do until then and see if it helps! Thanks again for responding! Smile
