I am incapable of creating a c-curve with my back. As a dancer, it is absolutely essential that I have full spinal mobility. I am only 18, so I should have a healthy spine. As a child, I had severely swaybacked posture. Over about 2 years I managed to correct this to a neutral spinal position.

I have been attempting to increase mobility in my back. It has shown minor improvements over the *years*, but if I exert too much effort I hurt my back.

The immobility occurs from the middle of shoulders blades all the way down to the area on my back just above my hip bones.

Currently, I am having lower back pain on both sides of my spine, right in line with the backside hip bones and around my tail bone.

Now, I have pain in these lower back areas when I sit in a pike position on the floor and lower my chin to my chest.

I don't know what to do! Any ideas?

Thanks!
