I'm in the process of learning about my body to try and work out when I ovulate.
I understand from many internet sites that I have read, that you can track your potention most fertile days by keeping a record of your cervical mucus. (nice!)
here's how it works....
During a typical 28 day cycle, the consistency of cervical mucus should be as follows:
days 1-5 menses
days 6-9 dry, or little to no mucus
days 10-12 sticky, thick mucus, becoming less thick and whiter.
Days 13-15 egg-white mucus ò thin, elastic, slippery and clear. Indicates most fertile time.
Days 16-21 sticky, thick mucus
days 22-29 dry mucus
there is no guarantee that you will ovulate, as it's possible not to ovulate every month. But this gives a very good indication.
I have this saved on an excell spreadsheet and just put abreviations in such as d for dry, m for mucus, cm for clear mucus!
Good luck and I hope that this helps.
