I went through the same thing. Except I had just turned 17 and my bf was 21. I was just going to get an abortion (even though I really hate that) but I felt that I couldnt tell my parents. As like you my parents always told me they would kill my bf and my dad always said hed go to jail (my dad) so I realyl didnt want to tell them. Eventually I came to the conclusion abortion was out of the question. I told my moms best friend first. She told my mom with us.. I figured it would make things better. Which it might have. My mom wasnt as pissed as I thought she would be. She was just really disappointed in me and my boyfriend. My dad on the other hand didnt care. He was like oh well you have to deal with it now and he took it rather good ( now I dont mean your dad might take it the same) I mean my dad has always been the biggest jerk and he used to beat us and stuff so I htought it was going to be totally different. First calm down and don't freak until you know for sure. I thought my mom would be so disappointed when I told her I was pregnant, considering the father and I aren't in any kind of relantionship, but she is actually really excited about it. The person I feared most telling (besides the father who actually took it fairly well) was my grandmother. I thought shed totally flip cause she was always warning me never to get pregnant so young (i'm 20 by the way). But when I told her she just kinda shrugged and said it was my life. I wouldn't say shes excited about it but shes accepted it and hopefully by the time I have my baby she'll be excited about being a great-grandma. Just relax and try not to worry about it until you know for sure and then if you have to tell them that you are maybe tell your mom first so she can support you while you tell your dad. Good luck.
