Hey, well, im just gunna list my questions and not go on and on, lol, cause I tend to do that, so here I go...

1. How early should home pregnancy test detect a pregnancy? Would 3-4 weeks after the "act" be too early?

2. If you've taken mulitple hpt and they all came out negative, should it be assumed you are not pregnant?

3. I am 19 and have been having my period since I was....About 13/14 ... Could it be normal to skip a period even though ive had a relatively normal period for at least 5 years?

4. Other than pregnancy, what other things could cause a missed period? A couple things I thought it could be but wasnt sure if it was are: I traveled for a few days last month, my boyfriend has been away for 3 weeks, I have been offandon taking stacker 2 for weight loss, and i've always been taking prescriptions ( aciphlex for stomach acid and prozac for mild depression).

I guess that was rather lengthy, lol. But any answers or advice are greatly welcomed!

Some pregnancy test dont work until after 1 week after missed period. But in some cases could even take longer.

Some woman never pass the urine hcg test but find the blood hcg to work for them, I think they say at least 2 weeks after conception the blood test works.

Having any of these symptoms??

Some early and later symptoms for most woman,
sore breast, tender breast. Some times lower abdominal pains, nausea, headache, swollen private parts, more sensitive privates, weight gain, frequent urination, back aches especially low back, sometimes new white discharge, montgomery glands on breast filling up(like pimple on areola), tired all the time, cramps in legs, more prominant veins in upper body especially breasts, sometimes swollen hands and feet, sometimes strange dreams, deeper sleep than normal. Dying of thirst.

Keep testing one week apart of go to dr and ask for blood test, usually more accurate and sooner than urine for some pple.

If you've gotten ill, or really stressed out, that can also cause you to miss a period.

I was nauseous for two mornings but came to the concluion that it was an antibiotic I was taking cause I only felt that sick on mornings when I took it. I havent had sexual intercourse...Im 19. The thing that just makes me worry is that there could have been semen on my bfs hands when he fingered me. Ive been really health forum lately like, the past week and a half and my bf says im pms-ing, lol. Hes not concerned at all that it would be pregnancy. My period has done this like , twice before. Once it didnt come for like, almost 6 weeks and another time it didnt come for 5 weeks. My bf says that there he is certain there wasnt semen on his hands, but what if there was? And I feel sorta twingy like I do when I usually get my period , but, lol... Havent gotten it yet. I am so freaked out right now and I dont know what to do. Ive been like , hysterical cause I havent gotten it.

P.S. When he fingered me, it had been a reeeeally long time since the last time we were that active.... I had kinda been steering away from sexual activity cause I worry so much all the time, lol. But, like I said, that was the first time in a long time that he had fingered me that hard.

It's extremely unlikely that the semen on your bf's fingers have caused you to become pregnant; my bf fingered me before I went on bc pills when he had semen on his fingers and I didn't get pregnant either.

Remember that stressing out about this can also make your period even later! Try to relax about it, keep taking the tests. You said it's been 3-4 weeks since the encounter? Well, if your period is due or late, then this is the right time to be taking the pregnancy tests.

Just keep testing until you feel sure that you're not pregnant. You can probably go in for a blood test at any planned parenthood clinic, and the thing is, since you're over 18, they won't tell your parents (if that's a concern for you).
