I was on ortho tri-cyclen for 7 months and switched to ovcon-35 a month ago (i am on my 2nd week of my 2nd pack). I am a religious pill taker. The last day I was on ortho tri-cyclen I had unprotected sex, I had my 7 placebo pills and started my ovcon-35 the next week. I had my ortho period as usual. When I started ovcon-35 I was on it for 3 weeks before having sex at all and that was unprotected. I had sex 2 days before my placebo pills. When I got my first period on ovcon-35 it was only 1-2 days and it was very light. Has anyone ever had a period like this on this pill? It just kind of has me worried. I don't have pregnancy symptoms or anything I am just concerned I suppose. :? So if anyone can give me there input even if they're not on this pill i'd appreciate it :) thank you

I was on alesse for several years and often had 1-2 day periods. Your period may have been light because of the switch (meaning it will become regular again in a couple of months) or you may experience a lighter period on this pill in general. Either way, the chances of you being pregnant are slim to none if you've taken your pills continuously.

Thank you for your reply! I thought that maybe it was b/c of the higher amount of progesterone in pill b/c I know that with progesterone only pills that your period is very light if you have one at all. So I thought maybe this was contributing to my lack of normal period. I'm sure all is normal b/c I don't have nausea or sore breasts or anything of that sort. It's just nice to get a little reassurance every once in awhile. :)
