I suffer from severe migraines and am 6 weeks pregnant. Does anyone know the effects of taking pain killers for migraines during pregnancy?

I suffer from sever migraines too so I can totally relate. I'm now 9 weeks 3 days and have already been to the emergency room twice because of migraine. The first time they gave me benadryl shot, which caused very strong stomach cramps but ultrasound showed that the baby was ok. Last week I had another attack so I tried benadryl in pill form tylenol, didn't do anything, then they gave me fioricet which didn't help either so the third try was tylenol with codeine which finally helped. Supposedly all of these are considered "safe" during pregnancy. I am always very upset after I take so many drugs thinking what it's doing to the baby but I also have to think about myself and that I need to "live". I used to take imitrex which is now out of the question.
I hope this helped a little and that you won't get too many migraines! My hope is that it should get better in the second trimester so i'm counting days! :)
