has anyone here experienced anxiety
while sleeping? I sometimes will wake up
from sleeping in the middle of the night
with a fast heart rate (120bps+) or I will
wake up with a normal heart rate but have
a pounding heart (at 65-70bps) but feel
like I am sick and nauseas.
I been having this for a past 2
months. I have gone to my doctor but he
said he is stumped. I have had chest
x-rays, kidney and adrenal gland x'rays
and sonograms. I have had a brain mri, an
echocardiogram, and a ton of blood work.
Everything is coming out great. He is
sending me to an endocrinologist. I know
some of you posters have been diagnosed
with panic disorder (i believe that is
what I have) so is there anything else I
need to do or tell my doctor to get on the
road to recovery? I dont want to be sick
anymore or feel sick. I am tired and want
to start getting heatlhy. I am keeping a
symptoms book for my doctor so I can tell
him what I am feeling.
Any suggestions on my next road would be
greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you so much!

I suffer from night terrors, another form
of anixety but only get them about once or
twice a week. It's when i'm dreaming so
normanly but then suddenly my heart heart
goes up, my breathing gets faster and then
i'm suddenly awoken with a scream.
Could you be suffering from night terrors
instead?
It's nothing that can be "healed" or
medicated by a doctor, its something that
you have to face yourself.
Just a thought.

Hey
my cousin has the same problem. You might
be suffering from night terrors. During
one of the stages of the sleep, a person
might scream, run or break something etc.
It is usually during this time that the
heart rate increases. The interesting
part is that most of the people don't even
realise what they are doing (even though
they seem to be wide awake and in their
full senses)
as long as the behaviour is not
destructive or harmful, I don't think
there is anything to be worried about.
If you are really concerned about it, I
will suggest you ask some one to sleep in
the same room with you for few days. Or
you may go and see a psychiatrist.
