Sex Drive On the Pill Posted: 07-30-05 19:55pm
Does anyone know (from personal experience
or otherwise) if tri-phasic pills (like
ortho-tri-cyclen) actually have less of an
effect on sex drive than monophasics?
This is what i've heard, but was just
wondering if others have heard the same or
have had any opposite experiences.
Thanks!

I pretty much lost my sex drive while on
yasmin. I'm hoping the new pill I just
started helps me find it again!

I know it sounds a bit crazy but I would
like it if the pill actually increased
rather than reduced sex drive because it
just doesnt make sense. You are taking it
so u dont get pregnant when having sex but
if it takes away all your desire for it
wheres the sense in that!?
Also I know its a bit off topic but since
the start of the year my periods went
crazy and at the same time I lost my sex
drive, now i'm on the patch and I just
feel it doesnt make sense someimes because
I rarely wanna do it. Should I just go
back to using condoms and only doing it on
the "safe" days? Do you think the other
two things are related? Is there any bc
that also increases your sex drive?

I have been on ortho tri-cyclen for 4
years now, and sometimes I just feel like
I have absolutely no sex drive, but then
there are some days where I definitely
have a sex drive. The bad thing is, I
don't have one most of the time, and I am
not sure if it is just me or the pill
contributing to it. Don't know! :)

Ortho-tri-cyclin Posted: 08-18-05 15:26pm
Hi, i’m new to the site, but I got on
the site because i’m looking for answers
for reduced orgasms after starting
ortho-tri-cyclin a month ago. I know this
may be a little to much info. But I have
the same reaction as an orgasm would just
my cervix doesn't contract. Now i’ve
her about some others having the same
problem but does anyone know of any bc
that will fix the problem. Please help

Im on alesse and I actually feel like it
increases my sex drive, right after my
period expecially I feel like I want to
have sex twice a day.... My bf loves it I
think it just depends. If your pill
lowers yous ex drive try a different
brand. No use proecting yourself against
pregnacy if u never want to have sex
