I had my son three months ago. Before I left the hospital the doctor told me to start my pill in four weeks. So, four weeks to the day I started my pills. But, it was a tuesday, so I started with the first tuesday pill, skipping the ones before it. I always make sure to take the pills I skip in the beginning at the end of my pack. Then, start the next pack on the tuesday again. Is this wring? Are my pills still effective? Help!!! I amso confused, I have also not gotten my period at all in the month of july! The last time I had it was june25-27......

Re: Did I Start Taking My Pill Right?
Well...I'm thinking the doc might have meant in four weeks generally to start again, possibly not exactly four weeks. I believe most pills are either monday or sunday starters and you should always read the directions on the pack to be sure. That could be the cause of your missing your period, plus whenever you start the pill after a long absence, your body needs time to readjust itself. I wouldnt' worry overmuch, but if you are concerned ask your doc. I would suggest stopping what you have taken and start a new pack on the sunday after your period, but im not a doc. Hope that helps!!
