Two days ago I noticed some swelling on
the outer part of my right ankle, just
above my ankle bone (is it called that?
It's the roundish bone that sticks out...)
it's kind of like a lump, but I don't feel
pain when I push on it.
Since i've been worrying about every
little thing, i've been worrying
excessively about this. I don't know how
it happened or what it means. The skin
isn't discoloured, it's just ... A lump.
I don't feel pain when I walk, but i've
noticed tonight that I have twinges of
uncomfortableness. Since I think of the
worst, my mind has jumped to the worst
possible thing - blood clots. Although I
have no idea if swelling caused from a
clot would be limited to just one side of
the ankle.
Also, tonight I noticed that a small lump
seems to be forming on my other ankle in
the same area. It's not as big of a lump,
though.
I'm hoping it's just a sprain or something
(which I have never had happen before so I
have nothing to relate to), so i'm still
concerned.
My family is quite annoyed with how i've
been anxious and panicked about literally
everything lately, and they don't even
think I should get it checked out. My mom
felt the lump when I first noticed it but
then left on a trip and we've just been
talking on the phone since.
Anyway, I hope someone can give me some
insight as to what is going on with my
ankle. Thanks!
