Hi,
I have a big problem..It is this I am in my early thirty's and have never orgasmed from my man or from myself...But when I sleep I just have 1 thought in my dream and I can orgasim so intense from either my clitorus or inside me or even both I wake up on the brink and touch myself till I explode....But in reality in waking hours I cant bring my self to that point...As something must be wrong with my clit as it feels nothing like hardly a thing when I touch it even when im excited....I have had a few children and put on a few extra pounds..Is this why theres no sensation there...People say try all these things but if my cliterous has little sensation what can I do....Help its depressing me as I am a sensitive caring woman who enjoys her man ...And can only come in my sleep

Well... In your dreams you have no control over your body or your feelings, so you are completely relaxed. That's the most important thing when it comes to orgasming; you have to let go of everything. Because of the dreaming state, you are able to let go. So, you need to learn to let go when you're awake.

Try this in the bathtub, or in your bed, alone. :) just feel yourself. You know how to make yourself orgasm, you do it to yourself as you're coming out of the dream! Give yourself a good hour, and just relax the whole time. Bubble bath, incense, whatever. Think of the dreams that make you orgasm, think of the feelings you have in those dreams, of how full your body feels, etc. For you, the bed might work best, because you're orgasming in your dreams. You need to get yourself into the relaxed state you have in your dreams.

Orgasm in your sleep
Dear hopelessclarity,

Even though it is 3 years since you put your post out, I am writing this reply, in case you happen to read it and also for others who might want consolation.

I am exactly the same as you, never been able to orgasm in the conscious state, yet have had great ones during sleep just before waking in the morning.

You must know this; the so called experts still do not know everything about the female orgasm, to them it is still a mystery organ which remains the topic of many unanswered questions such as yours.

So, don't listen to them when they make you feel like it is your fault, it could be just the way we are made and the sooner the experts accept this the better. I have tried everything and know I do not have a problem with relaxation or broadmindedness. Like you, I find the clitoris to have no or at best very little sensation, it's like the wiring has been cut.

I am grateful that I have my sleep orgasims as I believe they are more intense than the awake ones. Ha ha. Enjoy my friends, enjoy - our sisters may never know what the cake tastes like with the icing on top!!!

Orgasm in my sleep
I decided to research this, since it has happened to me many, many times. I do not understand why I only have these intense orgasms in my sleep...most often in the morning before I wake up. It's often a result of a vivid dream. Then I orgasm many times, especially when I put pressure with my fingers on that area. Once, it lasted for several hours, where I had about 15 orgasms! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to stop before I went to work that morning!

I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one that isn't having these type of orgasms during waking hours. I have wonderful husband, so that's not a problem. I just wish I knew why this happens. Even though I love him very much, I thank the Lord every time this happens, since I may not ever have this kind of feeling in real life!

Orgasm in sleep to
I tried everything to and I am in the same boat at night I can have many orgasms in my sleep, one source I sought information from was from an eastern medicine person who suggested there are certian nerves and meridians that some times are only activated when you are asleep, something about the shape of the uterus. Of course he offered many miracle products to solve my problem, and I knew it would not matter. For me I know there was only one man who was able to give them to me when I was awake (man do I wish we had not broke up) and we did not have mindblowin sex and there was nothing he did that was that unique it was just that I trusted him. I feel short changed some times becuase I have girlfreind who can have them with who ever, it doesn't even matter if she loves them or anything, but for me....unfortunetly I am fiding out as I get older, I am 29, it takes a very very unique person to gte me off, I just pray I can find them..

I feel like im broken, and then just today i had my first dream orgasm that felt so weird and somewhat wonderful but scary at the same time that it woke me up kinda shaky. I really want to experience and actual orgasm and be able to tell that i had it fully! But like i said i feel broken

you could perhaps consider a solution that might sound a bit odd but actually fits your issue pretty well - hypnosis ! erotic hypnosis is practiced by thousands and can result in very intense sensation. Since hypnotic trance state is pretty similar to dreaming, and your conscious mind will be just as relaxed, you'll probably have no problem accessing your orgasms, and then learn to do it when you're fully awake.

none of you are alone. i'm 30 and i've never orgasmed in a waking state. all of my orgasms have been from nocturnal sex dreams. i'm beyond frustrated. beyond. it's to the point that i don't even desire being pleased. there seems to be little to no information about this condition. i just started a new job and am waiting for my 90 days so i can get insurance and hopefully see a therapist about it. i feel as if my clit is numb. like it has virtually no sensation. i know that i am physiologically ok because i get wet and my nips are erect just like they 'should be' but i don't feel any sensation. which lets me know that it must be psychological. however, during my dreams, it's some of the most intense sensations imaginable. i would trade them for real life any day. i feel like something has been severed. like the message doesn't leave my brain for my body to 'turn on'. i have an amazing amazing lover and i feel like i'm broken and incomplete.

Ok, this will sound really strange, but last night, I awoke around midnight because I started having orgasms. I hadn't been dreaming of anything sexual. I couldn't even count them there were so many. They actually got painful. I got up about 12:30 and walked around for a while and they finally subsided. Then, this happened again at 1:00 for about 45 mins and 2:30 for about 30 mins. I know, I shouldn't complain, right? But they were exhausting! I have had this happen before, but not three times in a night. I easily orgasm during sex with my husband, so I don't think that is why this happened. I woke my husband up about 3:00 and asked him for a muscle relaxent. It may have helped because it didn't happen again, but my abs actually hurt from the orgasms! I will be 45 next month and am already in menopause. Anybody out there ever have this "problem"?

Ladies,

I'm so glad I found others who experience the same frustrations of night time only orgasms. I'm slightly different in the sense that I have been able to orgasm during sex, but it's incredibly rare (maybe once or twice a year). I'm married, and 26 y/o, and have been with my husband for 6 years, no kids. I used to have no problem, but then as the relationship went on, I started not being able to orgasm, then I started having the night orgasms. Yes, mine are always a result of some sexually stimulated dream, but I'll confess that it's not always sex with a person. Sometimes it's sex with an object, like rubbing on a park bench or something strange like that.

When I found this post, and I felt comforted to hear other women are having the same experiences. All I can think is that we need to relax, and enjoy sex for what it is, and whatever it might mean to you personally. If you need more foreplay, try that. I find using a small vibrator with my husband before the actual act gets me worked up enough, and I've had good luck with using one of those toys that he wears, and has a vibrating part on it (especially in a seated position, like on a couch, with me on top). Good luck to you all, and keep talking about your experiences.... It's the only way we are going to unlock some of the secretes of such a complex creature.

I will simply suggest you to consult good sexologist which will guide you to take such problem as, this always happens and it can happen with anyone, just go and read some magazines or books related to personal experiences of sex so, that you will come to know about your problem and it will serve you properly.

Thanks!

Orgasm in Dreams
Hi,

I have actually had a different experience. When I was about 10 years old I would get these dreams where I was flying through the air and the higher I would go this feeling of an orgasm would go through me. Bad things could be happening around me like a huge title wave in the ocean coming for me on a beach and suddenly I would get that feeling and it was the most intense best feeling you could ever imagine. It wouldn't stop and I would finally wake up. That feeling was so amazing that I wouldn't even care if I was about to die. I had these reoccuring dreams until I was about 19 b/c that is when I experienced my first waking orgasm. I am now 30 years old and I have never had one of those dreams ever since I started feeling clitoral orgasms. Those dreams I had were never sex related which I guess is kind of weird. I love feeling orgasms and have an awesome sex life but I will have to say that the orgasms I feel in real life will never compare to those dreams I used to have. It was surreal and would not stop. Has anyone ever experienced that? I talked to my sister about it and she told me she had the same thing. She is the only one who has experienced the same thing. BTW, if you are having trouble having a clitoris orgasm... Use a hot tub jet or vibrator and you should try to fantasize. Your thoughts play a big role in climaxing. Surprised)

This has been happening to me quite often over the past year or so. Not every month, but several times a year. Usually it will happen two or three times in a week, and then not for another few months. I'm usually not dreaming about something sexual, but I'll wake up either having a really intense orgasm, or just about to have one. I'll just have to touch myself lightly and I'll just explode. It's incredible; like my whole body is vibrating. I usually orgasm pretty easily during sex, but *NOTHING* like what I experience when I'm asleep. I'm 38 with two kids.

I'm 20 which seems young but have been sexually active for a while with many sexual partners and I've never even been close to having an orgasm while awake. I have the most amazing, intense sensations occasionally during dreams but I always wake up just before I orgasm. Sometimes I'll dream I'm in a car pressing the gas pedal and every time the engine revs I feel this wash of euphoria through my body but I can't quite 'get the car started'. I also had similar dreams to sshealth21 (above) where I was flying high as a child.

I know it's supposed to be normal to not have reached orgasm at this age, but I swear all my friends of the same age regularly come with their boyfriends. It's got to the point where I get embarrassed about having sex as I can hear the guy getting frustrated. When a guy goes down on me they might as well be pleasuring the back of my hand.

I am 19 years old and I have kind of the same problem. I too have had organisms in my sleep. But I don't know why it happens. In fact I didn't know until my husband told me. When I would wake up, it is as if nothing happened at all, because I don't remember anything. My husband says that I moan and everything. When he first told me, I was convinced that he was lying. So, he would get mad because he thought that I was aware of what I was doing. However, when I am awake I don't know how to touch myself to make me feel good or even get an organism. And when my husband and I are having sex I can not organism as much as I would like to. But he always gets his. Then I would go to sleep angry. That is usually when I fall in to a deep sleep. And when I wake up my husband be like, "So how was it" and I be like how was what. I really don't know what to do. I did believe that I was the only one with that problem. I feel better to know that I'm not alone.

Girl, 23, with the same experience here. It doesn't even have to be a sexual dream, but I can experience the most intense orgasms, and wake up all shaky and sweaty. I do on the other hand (pun) have orgasm while awake too. But maybe not as intense as when sleeping.

I noticed something strange some years ago, I went swimming with some friends. And as i dived into the water, I stretched my feet out, and maybe becouse of the cold temperature in the water, I felt the same orgasm "cramps". Some years later I had a similar experience, during certain yoga exercises. These are very similar to the sensation I get when having orgasms (in my sleep). So I think the key to discovering your "awake"-orgasm is to discover which muscles that are in action. My tip is to try yoga;-)

It is soooo nice to read all of your posts since I feel like I wrote them myself. Same story: 26 happily married and only orgasms at night. I was thinking in my case maybe it's hormonal, since I have acne from an over production of androgens. Do any of you have acne? Since this problem isn't researched, we should try to figure it out ourselves by comparing our other health issues!

I feel normal now that i have read these posts ;)
I am starting to feel normal reading all these posts. I felt so ashamed and embarrassed that i was having frequent orgasmic dreams! I didn't even know it was possible for women to have these types of dreams! I am 25 and happily married with a fairly active sex life, but for some reason, over the past year I began to get these dreams and they have been occurring more frequently, sometimes several times a week.I am glad to know I am nit alone here nor some kind of `sick` or shameful person! Thank you so much for sharing your stories with me, I feel so much better!
