I am 25 years old and was on depo provera for 6 years, I switched over to the patch 1 year ago to get my periods back to prepare for my husband of 6 years and I to try for a child. I went off birth control completely 7 months ago and have been bleeding non-stop since and spent a lot of money on Dr.'s bills and tests to only be told that this is all a result of the depo and am finding many others having difficulty concieving due to the same problems. I wish some one would have warned me about this. If you are on the depo, get off now even if it will be 3 years till children. Now all of my friends are getting pregnant and I am waiting for my cycles to regulate.

I totally agree with you.. I was on depo for only 6 months and have been on no birth control for the last 9 months and I am still not pregnant. Also I have been bleeding for the last 3 months straight and now they want to put me on yasmine to try to regulate it (which means no ttc for a while)

i gained 30 pounds was extremely emotional and now have very messed up periods. I would advise anyone thinking of going on depo to reconsider. My guess is that it will be off the market in the next couple of years.
