Hi,
i think you need to focus on something toher than your drinking, it really doesnt sound like your anywhere near alcaholism but what it does sound like is that you have a problem which isnt visable and needs o be sorted out. I see people like yourself on a daily basis and theres always another problem that needs to be found in order to conquer the current 'problem'. If I may ask what bad experiences have you had from medication before, and prehaps whoever it was that prescribed you anti-depressents should try and help you with methods other than medication. As for your drinking, its ok to drink to relax and enjoy but it starts to become a problem if its a habit or it has to fit in with your routine, make sure your drinking stays relaxed and doesnt get in the way. These voices, are these the type that come to people when they shouldnt eat more chocolate and they have a voice tell them 'just another bit' or is it more regular than that and occur around situations other than drink? Either way I think just a general trip to your local doctor maybe the best thing, he should no the way foward.Best of luck.

Dont drink then.. Having a beer when you get home is not a necessity. Just dont put yourself in the position to become what you fear, dont even have alcohol in the house.
