Q: Trying Prozac

Yesterday my doc put me on prozac, this is one of the only pills ive never tried before. Dont get me wrong alot of the meds helped me but I coudnt deal with the side effects. Anyways I heard prozac is real good for hypochondriasis and anxiety disorders

You are right
prozac is prescribed for the treatment of depression--that is, a continuing depression that interferes with daily functioning.
Prozac is also prescribed to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder.
It has also been used to treat other eating disorders and obesity.

In addition, prozac is used to treat panic disorder, including panic associated with agoraphobia
