I have a horrible history of badbreath before, but everything is well now... So I just thought I might as well give some of you peeps an advise.

i never wanted to have badbreath, well, no one does either. Like most people, I floss everyday, brush 3 times or more a day, and a regular 6 month appointment with my dentist. My health and diet is good and I certainly do not have any addiction to nicotine or what so ever, except for the occassional social drinking habit... But what causes the bad breath I had before? To start off do not believe any of those "therabreath" blah blah stuff! You need to find a medically proven way to eliminate a certain problem. And in this case a bad breath solution.

the only way to totally eliminate bad breath is finding it's source and treating it.. I thought at first that it comes from the gums or teeth, after consulting my dentist and having a second opinon, I was cleared of any signs or indications that they are causing the awful smell... Second I consulted a respiratory and a gastroenterologist about it, and again I was cleared. Being fraustrated, I turned to the therabreath system. It was great at first but the problem doesn't entirely go away... Not to mention, you still have to maintain using their product for just about a lifetime to keep a sweet breeze comming from you mouth... Now im know you don't want that.

when I looked at my mouth under heavy light in front of a mirror I saw these little yellowish/white dots hanging from the tonsils... Sometimes they are there, and sometimes thay'd be gone. Funny what are this I managed to take one of the nasty stuff using the other end of my toothbrush, and there it was the source of the smell... After argueing w/ my self a few times I decided to see an ent (ears, nose, throat) doctor... And he told me exactly what I wanted to hear, he said: we could treat it! But i'm afraid that it's gonna come back again, and again, and again... The sad fact that i'd be spending a ton of bucks to keep my breath a breeze is not a good option, so I asked him if I have any other alternatives... And the solution tonsillectomy!!! There it was the "holy grail"!!! The end of my search! I had it done a few months ago and i'm happy to say that I was finally cured! I consulted my friends if they noticed anything, and the revelation was shocking... They said I had a terrible case of bad breath before but all they could smell from me now is the sweet scent of toothpaste nad moutwash when I talk.... I was glad to have done the surgery... My life now is getting better, non more of those insecurities and I finally got the confidence of hooking up w/ the most lovely girl in our neighborhood... I hope you could find your solution too my friends I know I did... :p :p :p

tnx for readin...
See you in the funny papers!!!
Hehehe....
Take care people.... :d

Electric Toothbrush
I highly recommend you try a high quality electric toothbrush. I use the soniccare elite 7500 model and it will properly clean your teeth. Spend 120-150.00 on one of these babies and you'll notice the difference in like 2-3 days. Your teeth will actually start getting whiter again too. That is how you will know it was your poor brushing technique all along.

Forget nasal drip, try having some really clean teeth for a change. Trust me on this fella. I had some really poor brushing technique and even though I used to brush like a madman, it just didnt do the job properly. An electric toothbrush handles the technique for you.

Here's another test you can try, get a black light and look at your teeth in the mirror. Are they brownish or glowing white? The plaque is totally visible in the black light. Just because you think your teeth are clean does not mean they are. 99% of bad breath is due to bacteria in the gums/teeth. As for the tounge, well... Once your teeth get really clean then the tounge will sort of take car of itself.

Bad Breath After Tonsillectomy??
I've decided to post my story here as well. I hope it helps because I know it really sucksss to have stinky breath!

I suffered from bad breath for years and I was sooooo miserable.
I suffered from chronic tonsillitis and tonsil stones. I visited the doctor several times and they told me I was fine and that those tonsil stones (the yellow things on your tonsils) where nothing to worry about. I was convinced that my bad breath was coming from them. I decided to have them removed. After surgery I thought my problem was going to be over but it wasn’t. I didn’t have the tonsil stones anymore because I didn’t have tonsils but I still had bad taste in my mouth.

If you have the following symptoms maybe you are suffering from the same thing I do:

burning feeling in the back of your throat
your breath is always warm and disgusting
sour taste in your mouth at all times (even after brushing your teeth)
post nasal drip
difficulty breathing (feeling stuffed at all times)
the mornings are the worse when you wake up with the sore throat
dry cracked lips from time to time

my symptoms were misdiagnosed with common allergies; I tried nasal sprays and allergy medicine for a while with out improvement.

I also tried the therabreath products…………….What a waste of moneyyyy!

Tonsillitis and sore throat are not treated by scrapping your tongue and gargling daily, you must find what is causing your throat to be constantly sore in the first place.

I didn’t give up and continued looking for answers until my doctor asked me one day
do you suffer from heartburn…….? And I said only when I eat too much!!! Bingooooooo

this is it!! Heartburn not always hurts it could be silent and you could be suffering from it without even knowing. If you burp after eating, feel bloated and sometimes you have the feeling that your food is coming back to your throat you are suffering from gerd.

Bad breath is commonly coming from a burning esophagus.

Gerd causes all of those symptoms and even more……i hope this helps you and you can visit your doctor and discuss this with him.

Here is a helpful website that explains all about gerd and this could be the end of your suffering.

Emedicinehealth.Com/reflux_disease_gerd/ar ticle_em.Htm

it has helped me relieve my symptoms. It is a daily battle but I am happy that finally I found the real problem!
