I'm 18 and I just had a tonsillectomy last week (thursday). It is now tuesday, and I haven't eaten yet. It hurts so much, and my ears are in pain all the time. I tried to eat before but I ended up getting sick and then my throat was bleeding and I was rushed to the er, but they only gave me iv's, I was fine.

Does anyone else feel my pain?
How long is recovery to normal eating usually?

I haven't eaten in 6 days, and i've lost about 9lbs. That is really unhealthy. But if I eat, I get sick. ::sigh:: I hate this. :(

Ya alot of ppl get that. Did they give you pain relievers. They are suppose to give those to you as well as antibiotics. You are suppose to take both in the morning and wait till they kick in till you eat anything.
