Q: Progestin Worsens Depression?

How many people have had problems with progestin bc pills making them depressed? I'm looking for a birth control method (not presently having sex, as I just got out of a serious relationship 9 months ago but I want to be prepared for my next partner... Even if I don't know him yet lmao!) and I don't want to use estrogen because I had some problems with it. I get this face rash (reddness and spots around my mouth) that gets worse when you take estrogen.
