Q: Muscular Myopathy And Leg Surgery

I was born with a condition that causes weakness in my arms and legs mostly. They thought I had a very mild and unknown form of muscular dystrophy (sp?) but now they are calling it a myopathy because my condition will not get worse, but stay the same. My dad has the same thing (only his is a bit more worse than mine) and he's doing totally fine in his 50's. Does anybody know anything my muscular myopathies because i'd really like to know what I have. I can't find anything online about it. Also does anyone know any surgeries that would make my legs straight. The bones under my thighs and knee (forget what they are called) go outwards a bit instead of going straight down from my knee.
