This is an orthodontia question. I'm 27-28 on saturday-and I just got braces back in april, plus in the weeks leading up to getting them I had 3 teeth pulled. So my question is how much weight did you lose when you got braces? I'm worried 'cuz i've lost like 15 pounds and I don't know if it's because of my braces or something else.

Plus, do they rub away at the insides of the mouth? Every morning I wake up with skin sticking to them.

It sucks.

I didn't loose an insaine ammount of weight but I lost a few pounds because I had 4 teeth pulled, and one of them got infected, so it delayed the ammount of time I could go back to solid foods. But I didn't loose weight because of my braces, it was the teeth being pulled. Braces don't stop you from eating anything you normally would without them. In some cases you may have to but something (like a carrot or celery) because it could snap a bracet or bend a wire.

Hope that helped.
