It's possible you had a reaction to something.

I have a friend who's upper lip swells from chemicals they put on fruit at the super market. If she doesn't wash it well, then anywhere the fruit touches her lips they swell. Other than that it's her only symptom.

Try and remember what you eat or what's a common factor when you're lips start to swell, then you may know what's causing it.
