Didn't your doctor tell you the name of the diease? Ther are a lot of things you could have. You should call them and ask the name, then run a search for in on google or yahoo or whatever your favorite search engine is. Make sure they tell you how to spell it right!

Good luck!

A yeast infection is also considered a sexually transmitted disease. Yeast infections are very common, and they usually give you a cream for it. I am sure that is what it was, nothing to be worried about. Take the meds they gave you, and use the cream, it should be gone in a week

this is the kind of thing that blows my mind. Your doctor told you that you have a virus in your vagina. You leave his/her office without asking anything about your condition and then come to an internet message board to ask complete strangers if they know what you have? Absolutely unbelievable. These are things you should have asked your doctor before leaving! How are we supposed to know what you've contracted or how long it'll take for it to go away? Only your doctor knows and it's your job to ask questions. If he had diagnosed you with diabetes or cancer would you have walked out of the office without knowing the exact type, treatment options, or complications? I sure wouldn't. You need to educate yourself instead of asking other people to do it for you.

What do you think a health forum is, to ask questions. Don't make the girl feel unwanted, that is so rude. Where is your courtesy?

i don't see anything in my previous post that says she was "unwanted". I simply stated that her question would have been more appropriately directed at her physician who is aware of her condition and could better advise her medically. If that's considered rude, then so be it.
