Q: Deep Pain In Back, Pelvic Bones, Legs And Ribs Post Surgery

Hi, thanks for this forum!

I had a complete hysterectomy via laparoscopy 4 weeks ago due to large ovarian cyst and painful fibroid tumors. I am now in constant aching pain in my lower back, pelvic bones, legs and even up into my rib cage. Sitting is very painful--only laying flat on my back eases the pain. Has anyone heard of or experienced this? Has anyone found anything that helps? Does it eventually go away? I felt I had no choice because of the cancer risk my doctor was concerned about, but everything was benign, thank god! Any advice?

Is there a chance you could have an infection now. Fever chills??

I had full hysterectomy this last february, after surgery I was at home for 5 weeks and I felt constant pressure in the spot where they stuck epidurel needle.

6 months later --- one evening I have experienced terrible hips pain going down to my ankles, also between my shoulder blades.

They put me on muscle relaxer, and lortab which helps a lot but the problem is still there.

I had to have 2 mri so finally they have find out I have "sack filled with fluid inside mine spinal cord " which is probably the reason I have pain right now.

I asked my doctor if epiderul needle could be a reason but no body wants to talk about it or admit it.

Deep inside I feel this is what is the main reason I am in pain.

They gave me shot of (can't remember the name -- turdol )? And my hips and legs do not hurt right now but pain between my shoulders is getting stronger every day.

I have appointment with the orthopedic doctor, however I do not believe I will hear the truth from him also.

I am not going to let them operate on my spinal cord, they said the other option is to drain the fluid.

I am very angry they do not say hysterectomy and back pain are related and I am angry they do not want to admit those two are related.

I feel like zombie until I take lortab and than I am zombie again falling to sleep everywhere.

But in the same time I had no other choice, my menstrual pains were so strong I had to be transported to hospital by ambulance for the last 3 months before the surgery.

So right now it feels like I changed one pain for another
