I am looking for information on trauma induced lupus. Any information or links or hints would be greatly appreciated. I was in an auto accident and my lupus became active then. Any help on finding info on this would be so helpful to me. Thanks! Christine

Hi christine! Welcome!

Lupus is *suspected* to be caused by a combination genetic predisposition and an environmental factor (trigger).

There are several theories on possible factors...Serious trauma being one, but nothing is for sure. The truth is lupus strikes at anytime and anywhere. The cause is really unknown at this time!

Welcome to the group! Let us know how you are doing! You'll find some very highly knowledgeable people who are also great friends! Lots of people here have helped me deal with my lupus!

Hugs,
