I went off hrt in october and hot flashes and weight gain arrived. Last week, the hot flashes intensified 10 fold then suddenly disappeared my feet began to swell, breast became tender and I noticed a discharge like I was ovulating. I've gain 10 pounds in the last month. What's going on?

Me too! If you received an answer, please share. Is this a normal stage of menopause? How long does the swollen feet and tender breast last? HELP!!! (Thank God the hot flashes went away!)

I haven't taken the hrt, but my hot flashes went away and my breasts are sore and tender. What is going on? Is it something to worry about?

tender breasts
Went for a mammagram and complained of breast tenderness and swelling. Nothing found radiologist and nurse both said can be related to caffine intake and often will come and go--mine was gone for near a year and now seems to be reaccuring--do have caffine soda 1 per day and perhaps a cup of two of coffee and of course any chocolate consumed will also add in. But always good to have a mammagram yearly to keep track.

TENDER BREASTS
I stopped Hrt two months ago, after being on it for 27 years.I'm 54 and had a hysterectomy aged 27 hence why I went on it so young.
I have had a few hot flushes, not too bad though.First month all I did was cry,so depressed but that's passed fortunatly.
I have actually lost weight, even though I was at my correct weight anyway)Just a few pounds but I'm only a size 10 and can't afford to lose much.
My problem is that my breasts are so sore and they've grown a cup size.I've had a mammogram and it's fine but I feel like they are living a life of their own at the moment they are so uncomfortable.
I'm taking evening primrose oil but it's not helping the soreness.Never had this since my pre hysterectomy days.
Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks.

Tender Breasts
I had a terrible problem with my breasts for years which were swollen and full of lumps. Also, recently I also started having hot flashes and depression.

I started to use a natural progesterone cream which you rub a quarter of a teaspoon on twice a day for 14 days of your cycle [if you are still mensturating] or for 21 days if you are not.

It took a good 3 months for it to settle in but now I am feeling much better and the lumps have virtually gone and the hot flushes are much less.

You have to get it over the internet and it's worth a try.

The other supplement that I have used is Serrapeptase and that is supposed to help with fibrocystic breast desease and that worked for me on the breast lumps.
