My Nightmares Are Like Watching Horror Movies!!! Posted: 07-22-05 16:35pm
It's not that big a deal..But sometimes, I
wonder what it means. My dreams are
sometimes so crazy, I wake up in a
sweat..It's like watching a really scary
horror movie. I have dreams where
people's heads are cut off, there is
someone chasing me, i'm crawling in the
dirt..There are crazy crazy people all the
time in my dreams. I have dreams about
axes and murderers, absolutely gory
sometimes. Sometimes I think I should be
a writing this stuff down and sending it
to a producer..If they could produce onto
film what I am seeing in my dreams, I
guarantee you would be shaking in your
boots!!! Anyone else experience this?

Well I have deffinitely had nightmares
where I have thought they were real. It
scares the crap out of you when ya wake up
lol. My friend shared a similar
experience as yours back when he was on
prednison (*sp*) anyway what that is....
Is its a steroid and it helps all
different things. He took it because he
was on accutane to help with the breakout
and prednisone gives you really bad night
terrors and all that bad stuff. So he was
on it for a month and he said all his
nightmares were like watching a really
scarry movie but it felt so real. However
once you wake up and tell your body that
its just a dream you can ususally fall
back asleep and go into a deep sleep
without having another nightmare.

woh, nelly, you betcha! I actually do
turn most of my night terrors into books,
but i'm a geek and I write all the time
anyhow. I have found, though, that
writing them down helps my mind work
through the fact that it was not reality.
It helps me relax enough to go back to
sleep.
For example, last night, apparently, I
woke up half the house with my scream. I
didn't know if I had actually screamed
aloud or not until the kids told me that I
scared the crap out of them. I dreamt of
this really large, really ugly spider that
had gotten into my hair and was preparing
to attack me. That was somewhere aroung
4am. I barely slept the rest of the
night. The part that stinks the most
there is that I already only get 4-6 hours
sleep nightly because of inability to turn
off my brain from all the daily stressors
of life.
The worst night terrors for me, though,
involve sexual assault. I usually end up
sitting up nearly all night long when
those start just because I fear that
falling asleep again will bring it right
back. It usually does. At least my
husband isn't waking up seriously bruised
anymore. Lol.
So, yeah, there are others with the same
issues.

I've had horrible nightmares before...
zombies take over the world and i'm on the
run.
There's a serial killer stalking me.
Demons trying to possess me.
In the middle of nowhere,Leather face is
chasing me with his chainsaw (The Texas
chainsaw massacre).
I'm drowning.
I'm witnessing homicide and torture.
I'm being hunted down in the woods by a
family of cannibals (wrong turn).
The worst one...
My parents ended up part of a cult and we
lived in the squalid house shared by the
other members and they all used to get
drunk and wear masks and it was really
really noisy and i was trying to escape
from the house,as i was imprisoned and i
kept trying to escape,but when i got
outside,i kept being chased and caught
before i got onto the street.One night,i
sneaked out at night time and managed to
find my way to get help,though i was
frantic like the survivors in movies.
When i woke up i was gasping and it took a
few minutes for me to remember where i
really was.I looked around and thought
"Phewww".
I'm gonna sound weird now,but when i wake
up,i replay all the stuff i remember and
think "Cool..." I find a lot of my
nightmares horrible at the time,but i
enjoy looking back on them ages later.

I find a lot of my
nightmares horrible at the time,but i
enjoy looking back on them ages later.
