I've been suffering from depression for a long time now, a very long time. But within the last year, it got to the point I started self-injuring. Then I stopped eating. To make a long story short, I live with my mom during the school year and visit my dad during the summer. This year my visit with him has only been sadness and drama. I love him so much, but I can't even enjoy what little time I have with him because the depression and eating consume my thoughts. But I know that being here has done me good and staying here would make me much happier and healthier than going home, and so does my dad. He's currently talking to my friends mom(a therapist who found out what was going on and helped me through a lot) about me staying here and the possibility looks really good. But I know no matter how much I want to stay, I can't because it would break my moms heart. So in reality, I only have about two more weeks to enjoy my visit. What do I do  ?

Just try and make the most of it.
Remember your parents will always be there for you no matter what.

My dad is in a different country which is a 3 hour and 45 minute plane ride, he was here a few weeks go in which I hadn't seen him for three years because I decided to move over here to australia because my did.

My family is divided to. But in the end we are still a family.

I too, am from a broken home, its crap, not a very good card deck you were dealt as far as having a mother and father who are together. If anything, try humor, some of the most famous comedians are the products of a broken home. Don't starve yourself, or cut yourself, it's not worth it, just leaves ugly scares, and gross breath that you will be depressed about later on in life. Be happy that you have two parents that care about you, that your not on one of those maury povich type talk shows title "who's your baby's dad", now that's depressing. Do what’s best for you, what will make you happy as far as where you live. Just remember most of the world's people are unhappy at different times in their life’s, I was very unhappy as a teenager, it does get better, then not, then better again, the "roller costar of life" (some quote I heard from some old lady who always sat in the neighbor’s car)
