Sounds like you both might have some nerve compression in somewhere in your cervical spine.

To confirm that and to see what is going on in your cervical spine you would need an MRI and be evaluated by a spine specialist.

Compression of nerves in the cervical spine can cause neck pain as well as a numb, tingling and heavy feeling in your arm/arms and tingle in the fingers.

Twinklejen, I don't know what you can or can't do without any health insurance, but what you really need is to see a spine specialist as soon as you can.

Same advise for you as well Hbbrat

Good luck

Fran

neck pain
Hey guys,
I have the same problem and I also have no ins. but I went to a place called The Good Samaritan Clinic and they found a nerologist to see me for 1 visit so I could then applie for a charity care program @ UAB in B'ham to recieve free care. I went for a MRI and they found 2 disc messed up in my neck. That was 5 years ago and I am still being treated for it.

Back and neck pain
Dear Doc,
Have been having this right sided abdominal pain, cutting through to the right upper back and up the neck for nearly a year now. Used to think it is an internal organ problem until i had both MRCP/MRI and spine xray. MRI showed nothing but spine X ray said "loss of lumbar lordosis". Doc sent me for a 10 day physio, but gave temporary relief. Currently seeing a chiropractor, but don't seem to be getting any relief. Please advise what to do.

Regards,
James Thiaine

James,

You need a spine specialist not a chiropractor.

You need to see either an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in spines or a neurosurgeon that specializes in spines only.
