Hypothyroid?
Posted: 11-19-03 18:28pm

Hi,
i have just been diagnosed with a goiter with multiple nodules on it or the thyroid, i'm not sure which one. I won't be seeing a specialist until december. I'm a little nervous! Could this turn out to be cancer? I also had blood work done for hypothyroism and hyperthyroism. I had these same tests done in july and they came back normal. I do not have the results of my new blood tests yet. I have all the symptoms of being hypothyroid. Does anyone out there know if you can be hypothyroid, and have normal a normal blood test?
Thank you for any replies!
Leslie

Thyroid Problems

I am hypo. I had normal blood test. My doctor was very good and noticing that my thyroid was enlarged. I answered questions in the doctor's office about symptons. Out of 25 possible symptons, I had 20. So that was his indication that there may be something wrong. He recommended I read the thyroid solution, related to depression. I can not think of the author's name. It is pretty good. I am also reading, is your thyroid making you fat, 28 day diet. If you have an hmo try to get the doctor to refer you to an endocrinologist. My aunt has graves disease so I knew it runs in our family

Thanks carla for the reply. I have regular insurance, so I picked the best thyroid specialist in my area. I already have the thyroid solution, and I just ordered, is your thyroid making you fat? I have almost all the symptoms of someone that is hypothyroid, plus I have the goiter and the nodules, so it wouldn't surprise me if I am hypo. The only thing that didn't come back normal on my blood tests was my t3 uptake. It was to high, whatever that means. I hope your doing okay. Take care.
