Several months ago (about 3-4) I developed a couple bright red marks on either side of my neck.

They looked alot like hickies but I can assure you they were not.

They were tender, like a bruise but more sensitive.

The time when they developed I was sick with a head cold and sore throat, as well as going through end of semester exams. So I assumed they were stress marks or rashes.

But they took weeks and weeks to fade, and have left scars that are a little darker than my skin tone and are still slightly tender.

I have no idea what these are, and i've (silly me) yet to go to a doctor about it, as I didn't think it was very serious.

I'm 19 years old, female, and rather healthy, if not a bit anemic. What could this be?
