Q: a Simple Question On Hiv's Survival

I found there was some stain on my razor after it was borrowed by one of my friends one day before. So I put it under tap water flow for 30 seconds first, and dried the blade up. Then I scrubbed the blade with iodine soaked cotton stick for several seconds. But after I did all these, I still can see a little stain on the blade. My question is: do you think the hiv virus can still survive after 24 hours exposed to air, water wash and iodine scrub? Thanks and best regards.

From what I know, aids is a virus which doesn't survive well without a live host. This is why aids is not airborn, you can't get it from touching and you can't get it from a toilet seat or any of that nonsense. If you washed it and soaked it in iodine I wouldn't worry.
Who was this friend anyway? If it is someone close to you, can't you just ask them if they have aids? Also if it is a stain it could be rust or something. If you are that worried just throw the razor away sheesh.
