Q: Is This Ovulation

I have been trying to track my cycle. I had a normal period on july first which would be day one. On day 11 I had a spotting of blood just on the paper a couple of times that day with clear mucous mixed in. What does this spotting indicate. This happens nearly every month.

It it not - I have the same thing during 11-14 days. The first month I thought what it was ovulation. But since my ovul test did not show anything and I did not get pregnant, I have figured it was not. This month I have let this pass and then started taking ovul test. It happens that my ovulation came exactly 7 days later, which puts me on a 35 day cycle (it used to be 28-30). My obgyn told me not to go by mucous and just test for 10 days starting 10 days after your period and till you get a positive sigh on the ovul test. Good luck!

Spotting can sometimes mean implantation bleeding, however having that on cd11 seems way too early for it to be implantation.

Sharp hormone level changes can create spotting as well.

Have you had any hormonal testing done with your ob/gyn?
