Q: Ruptured Ear Drum?

I work in a sawmill, and today I was struck by an object just above my ear, on the head. Now I have an earache, and I can't hear very well from that ear. I'm also experiencing continuous tinnitus. Is it likely that I have a ruptured ear drum?

Peforated Ear Drum
Sounds like you have a perforated ear drum (if that is, in fact, what I have?)

i was slammed by an ocean wave directly on my left ear, and perforated my ear drum (the doctors could not actually see the perforation, but could see blood behind the ear drum, and assumed since it was a sudden occurrence that it was a perforation)... The pain only lasted 2 days, but still have some annoying symptoms. That ear has the sensation of being very clogged; however, any internal noise is completely amplified (swallowing, breathing, chewing), and it has been 10 days.

Are you better? How long did it last?
