I like it, very unique! I personally always liked having a name no one else didn't, it made me feel special, and in a good way ^^. I bet your child will love it, and if he wants he can always be called jay. Win/win situation.
I wouldn't know if this was a boy or a girl, two "unisex" names and a "y" in one make me think girl. -aden endings are becoming waaaay over used, and the unisex thing is getting old too! Sorry, you did ask for honest!
Where I live(australia) not many I know has even heard of jayden! People here are more and more going for the traditional names like john and emma im not pregnant but thats what I want my son to be named and I thought its groovy and really traditional but honest is what I want thanks guys.
Not too sure about jayden for a boy - I have a 9 & 4 year old sons and we know several jaydens but they are all girls. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't go for it there are lots of names that are popular right now that are both boys and girls names ie carson. I absolutley love blake - thats one of my sons middle name too...Andrew blake.
