Spotting is usually a "light" period for a few short days. For example you could just have a few drops of blood here and there for several days or you could have a very light trickle.

Oh by the way a "few days" could be anywhere from 1-7.

You know how it is toward the end of ur period when its darker? Its like that and really light(well not as heavy as usual[and it's usually pretty heavy]) and I have been having bad cramps or something the past couple of days... But I havent gotten them in over a year because of the birth control. I don't know, its just not the usual on time pereiod

Well you could always try a home preg test. I doubt that you are pregnant but you never know. Sometimes you get cramps and spotting if you are pregnant. If the test comes out neg, i'd wait a week and try again and if still nothing i'd go the doc and get one from there done. It could also be some medical condition...Or absolutely nothing.
