I have been having lower right side pains for almost a month now.

I have also been vomiting, running a low grade fever, and have been having diheria. I have been to the doctors several times and he just said the first time which on oct 6th to go home and take tylenol. Well that didn't work. So then he thought I had something wrong with my ovaries but I did not. Then he said that I have acid reflex disease but the medication he gave me is not working. He told me that it can not be my appendix because it should not last that long. Its not getting any better either.
Any advice would be helpful
thanks

Obviously something is wrong with you - whether it is your appendix or not I don't know. I seriously think you need to get a second opinion from a different doctor. If it is an infected appendix, once it ruptures you will become violently ill and if left untreated for much longer you run the risk of death. Go to a different doctor and tell him or her what your other doctor has said and mention your suspicions of it being your appendix. My best friend in college almost died from a ruptured appendix and spent several weeks in the hospital recovering after his emergency surgery. Put your mind to ease and see another doctor. Good luck - hope you start feeling better soon Smile

Hello
I have a similar situation. Last new years eve I got seriously ill (vomiting, and diarrhea). I went to a doctor and told her I have lower right side abdomen pain, I felt nausea, vomiting, low grade fever, and also lost some weight. They tested me for all kinds of thing. My ovaries, my gallbladder, appendix, my kidneys, my lungs. You name it i've had all the tests all except my stomach. It's been 11 months since the incident, they still don't know what's wrong with me, but they tell me i'm in good health. I still don't know whats wrong with me. So I have scheduled an appointment with a gi. Hopefully they can tell me what's wrong with me.

To make a long story short. I suggest that you take a more proactive approach. Don't let them tell you-"you're okay"- when you don't feel fine.
Make an appointment with another doctor, get a second opinion.

I wondering if you feel ill (gas, nausea, etc) when you eat. If so, you should make an appointment with a gastroenterologist. (you might need a referral from your doctor)

i hope this helps

Right lower abdominal pain with diarrhoea and fever is not going to be appendicitis but could be crohn's disease
