Bioidentical Horomnes

I have been on premrin 8 years since a complete hysterectomy(overies also removed).
My doctor lowered my dose from .625 to 0.45 I started having irritablilty!
So I went to a holistic physician and started on bioidentical hormones.
3 months of hot flashes and irritibility, just terrible! Things have finally calmed down, my body adjusted to them.
The bio's are very costly and the blood test are too!
I want to know if anyone has used them and if they have had great success?
When the (holistic) doctor did my blood levels I was on the primrin she said I was in full menopause??? So what was the premrin doing then???
I wonder if I tapered off all of this stuff would my body adjust eventually?
Does anyone know after you go through the surgical menopause does the body eventually calm down or do you have to take hormones forever?
