Hi guys, I dont know if im being paranoid here.. And I know you might be wondering why im posting this in an anxiety/stress forum but I think almot of the my negative thinking on this issue is due to anxiety.. Anyways here it goes

recently ive been reading up on brain tumors, about 2 months ago I started feeling very odd out of nowhere.. Vague.. Confused.. Etc. I went to the doctor and they were so confused cause I was giving them all sorts of symptoms that lead to nowhere.. Anyways.. I began feeling slightly better but never the same since before 2 months ago. Since then ive seen multiple doctors who were rendered clueless by my symptoms. Another side effect is ive been so unmotivated to do the things I enjoy, which isnt like me because im a fairly active person. Yesterday I went to the doctor yet again and told them what I was feeling as of recently (vague, fatigued, pressure around and above sinuses, impaired vision ) now when I say impared vision I dont mean blurry cause I can still see things at distances, but it just seems like it takes longer to focus.. Now this confusion/vagueness is a truely bizzare and scary feeling. Its not so much constant but there are times where I have to calm myself down. Anyways I finally got the doc to order me a ct scan I hope all is well.. But im not sure what else it could be. Anyone who has/had a brain tumor or just more knowledgeable than myself feel free to help me out, thanks

No brain tumour here, I can tell you. I thought (and still do) that I had a brain tumour because I had the above symptoms, as well as bad headaches and some other stuff. Trust me man, if you had a brain tumour, you would know, having any headaches? I am pretty sure that your scan will show up normal, if you had a tumour, I would have expected more symptoms I had loads and my brain scan still showed up perfectly normal, dont worry.

Brain Tumor Or Anxiety?
Welcome to the world of anxiety. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way, I promise. I just say that as a way of dealing with things myself. I have self-diagnosed myself sooo many times. I have had health problems, which make anxiety worse. My advice is to have the scan done to ease your thoughts. Also, i've heard that one of the symptoms of a brain tumor is vice-like pain that leaves you immobile. So like the previous message says, if you have it, you will know it.

Thanks for the responses,

its just weird how it appeared so suddenly, I can almost pinpoint the day that I started feeling foggy. I just want to get back to my old active self again but im finding myself too tired and even in the last few days I havnt been eating properly due to worrying. Headaches arent constant and usually pretty dull but and always located around/above the forehead

A few other things ive noticed is my movements are really jerky sometimes. I was lying in bed holding the phone and my whole arm was trembling. I hate it when I learn of symptoms (ie. Numbness) then I sit there waiting for it and if one of my fingers or toes starts to tingle I think I have a brain tumor.

Well you are lucky that doctors have not been able to find anything because tumors and other cancers are easily diagnosed.

But of course you cannot blame the doctors that they could not diagnose anxiety, because they themselves do not know why people have anxiety attacks. You need to study clinical nutrition for this.

I suggest you read some articles at our web site at:

Hypoglycemia.Asn.Au

"what is hypoglycemia?"

"beating anxiety"

"hypochondria and hypoglycemia"

"depression a disease of energy production"

"depression a nutritional disorder"

once you have read all of the above article you should know that your 'disease' is easily treated by a change in diet.

Trust us, it hit me like a brick. I would also give anything and I mean anything to get back to my old self again, but as I have learned, most of the cure needs to come from you. If this is anxiety, you need to concentrate on getting yourself better using your mind. When you say that you sit there waiting for it, it means that you are thinking about it, and so this will tell your mind that you want to have tingling, so you have it. Trust me, get up and do something, it will take your mind off it.

All Symptoms of Anxiety
The mind is so strong. As for the message about hypoglycemia and nutritional factors. That may play an important role, but it's not everything. I notice you advertise your website throughout this forum, and I wonder if you are using this forum for advertising, or if you genuinely care. I think you have advertised your website sufficiently, thank you. As for the person that has the brain tumor fear, all of the symptoms that you describe do not sound like a brain tumor at all. It sounds to me like a cluster or stress headache, which can cause dizziness, light-headedness, fogginess, visual disturbances, and imbalance. This headache is most likely the cause of anxiety. Is there anything right now in your life that will preoccupy your thoughts. You sound like a passionate person and you can use the strength of that mind of yours, and try to put it to positive use. It does take practice, but patience is the key and never ever judge yourself. You are not alone. Just know that.

Well it first started as dizziness, very bad dizziness at that. To be honest I wasn't worried at all about it because I am a normal, healthy 15 year old, just like any other. I went to the hospital anyway and they did all of the checks and things and found nothing, so I was discharged, which really is another way of saying 'it will go by itself, just give it time' about a week on, I started having headaches, and these were very severe, like my head or brain was blowing outwards and it would pop at any moment. At this point I started to get scared, because I thought (like everyone does, that I had a brain tumour. I had the scan, and blood tests but everything was perfectly normal. The symptoms still remained though and I started worrying sooooo much that I went to my gp about 5 times after the hosp. Now here I am, waiting for an appointment to see a paediatricion and also cams (counselling) this month.

Thanks for the replies, esp crystal.

There is alot on my mind lately aside from thinking I have a tumor, even since coming to this site and realizing im not alone makes me feel alot better and im beginning to slowly feel better myself..

When my anxiety began thoughs of death/ what happens after etc.. Was going through my head and I guess at that very moment I thought way too deeply about it and began to develope anxiety. I think that is still the underlying reason why its still around but ive finally accepted it. That couple with my symptoms, coupled with proposing to my girlfriend next week are probably the reason why I still suffer. But I think im on the right track, thanks

Well, No Wonder...
Asdfjkl,

no wonder you're anxious. That is a big step! Congratulations. I wish you all the best. As for your thoughts of death and what comes after, that is a clear sign that you are a very deep and philosophical person. You know, that is the ultimate fear or should I say anxiety possible for a human on this earth. My fears of death are accompanied with great fear of suffering as well. This thoughts can be all-consuming. There is a great book (deep and difficult to read at times) called the courage to be by paul tillich. He mentions the difference between fear and anxiety and how humans underestimate the strength they have, including you and i. Think of the strength it takes simply to be here living a mortal life. I don't mean to sound too over-the-top, but I genuinely believe living day to day is a strength most people don't consider. When I start thinking of impending doom, such as dying of some horrible illness, I force myself to accept those thoughts, but tell myself silently or sometimes out loud, I have thought these things before. This is my conditioned mind forming these unwanted thoughts. You are right, you are absolutely not alone. There are so many people we pass everyday, that mask their fears with everyday duties. We have no idea the struggles they have inside. This forum allows us to see clearly those very struggles. I hope your fiance says yes :d

Agreed crystal, I fear the suffering more actually.. Like ill think I have a tumor or somthing and then ill be afraid of being a vegetable its just silly really. I really dont want to go on any meds so im going to try my best to not fight, but accept. Bigman, ive noticed that as well that alot of people mix up the symptoms of anxiety and brain tumors, and I took alot of comfort in that as well. I hope you're all doing good and thanks for putting my mind at ease.
