Resuming Sex After Surgery Posted: 07-10-05 14:19pm
Can anyone tell me how long you should
wait before resuming sex after surgery, I
had an ovarian cyst and ovary and
fallopian tube removed 2 weeks ago by
laprascopic surgery, my surgeon never
mentioned how long I had to wait and I
feel a bit embarrassed to ask my doctor,
any advice from someone who has been in
this position or who just knows how long
you're supposed to wait would be welcome

I am having some dysplasia removed from my
cervix and my doctor recommended not
having intercourse for 4 to 6 weeks. I
don't know if our surgeries are much
different with regard to recovery time.
If you are having any bleeding,
discomfort, or cramping, then definitely
no intercourse. If you feel back to
normal, I would take it slow and gentle.
Believe me, i'm not looking forward to my
6 weeks recovery

Sex After a Lap Posted: 07-23-05 03:53am
I have had two laps now, and both times
the instructions were to wait at least 1
week. Today is the one week mark, but I
am definitely too sore for that! I would
say when your incisions are completely
healed, but if you are really worried I
would just call the Dr...Better to be
embarassed than make the wrong decision!
Good luck!
