Q: Ecstacy, Marijuana & Alcohol Use Recovery

Hi there,

after several years of use of ecstacy, alcohol & marijuana, 2 years ago I fell into depression. I started taking an antidepressant called remeron for almost 2 years and recently (1 month) anafranil.

I also experienced severe anxiety and panic in social situations. As a result I became very isolated from social activities. The worst symptom was the headaches. It's been 2 years and I still have those headaches. I've been clean for 2 years which is great but the headaches are worrying me. Any advise on what to expect and do would be appreciated.

Cheers...

Going next week for the mri. Blood pressure and blood sugar levels are ok as I had 2 blood tests in the last 2 years. I've also had a cat scan with nothing showing up. I've decied to get the mri cause I know I can view the brain in more detail. Really curious what possibly could be happening up there. Hmmm. I'm sure it's something minor. Anyone else with suggestions would be welcome.

Cheers

Hello
Just a thought... I too was on anti depressants and got the same symptoms. Later I found that I shouldn't have been on them period. I'm not saying to quit them yourself but you may concider talking with your doctor about trying to ween off of your meds and to try to do it on your own. I did and I feel excellent.
Good luck!

I have been put on 5 or 6 different anti depressant and I do not take them. Because first I don't like how they make me feel. Well everyday I wake up with a headache. I only took them maybe the first couple of days the doctor would prescribe a new anti. My headache is usually around my temples and my veins with throb. This the same type of headache you are talking about?
